RECIPE – HUMMUS…
ONE CANNOT LIVE ON HUMMUS ALONE! I know people who do!…almost.

Homemade hummus with a little sumac, parsley and olive oil garnish.

When I decided to go 100% to the veggie side, I missed certain foods, and yes, cheese was one of them. But thanks to hummus I survived the transition …

Hummus, made from chickpeas, is such a satisfying food. Pure natural wholefood protein that sustains you when hungry. I would put it on the side of my plate and eat it with potatoes, brown rice, broccoli … I eat it by itself!
But perhaps most popular in the western culture is as a dip for veggies. Carrot sticks, cucumber slices, broccoli, cauliflower florets, pepper strips …and a bowl of hummus, nothing better for a hungry soul.
