RECIPE – Tahini sauce – Sesame butter, the staple in the Middle East

I know this might seem strange but I have started to make this to drizzle onto pizza. Someone showed me an image of a vegan pizza they recently had, it looked so good, so as is my way, I asked for all the toppings. The last one was a vegan Caesar salad dressing … my vegan Caesar salad dressing is made with tahini …
The next time I made pizza I drizzles a little tahini sauce over it, so good! I am hungry for some as I write ( bad time of the day, late afternoon! )
Here’s my recipe.
INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup of tahini – sesame butter3 garlic cloves – minced1/2 cup of water1/4 cup of lemon juicea pinch of sea salt ( and in the photo above, I added a little chopped parsley, up to you )
METHOD
– combine all the ingredients together except the parsley – mix well, or put in a blender and give it a blitz or two- mince the parsley if you want to use it and add to the sauce.
Ready, store in the fridge. After a day it may solidify. Take it out of the fridge and allow to warm up again then stir with a spoon, if still thick adding a little water should make it runny again.
Poured over Falafel … a prerequisite!
